Client A did not have a solution in place for intercompany billing. This omission resulted in the organization losing cash, as billable items got lost causing the operator to cover the expenses. Our specialist worked with Yardi to implement an intercompany model designed for these types of transactions. Our professional was focused on understanding the firm’s current process, and in this case, customized the intercompany billing workflow to fit best with the client’s procedures. The Results

When Client C called TAS, they had a good problem: They were growing very quickly. Still, this sudden success caused issues that needed to be addressed, such as impacting the client’s P&L statement. Considering the rapid growth, the amount of work would have been overwhelming for internal accounting personnel, who did not have the necessary support to finish the task in an accelerated timeframe. This was another opportunity for TAS to implement the intercompany module to bring aid to the current staff.

We made the necessary adjustments to the chart of accounts so the intercompany transactions could be accounted for appropriately. Our team was able to adjust the client’s billing to accommodate multiple locations. TAS utilized Yardi Voyager’s intercompany component to make the process more efficient and accurate. The work we completed and the improvements we integrated were due to our experience and knowledge of the senior living industry and understanding the accounting standards of senior living operators.

Our team implemented an improved model that could be used going forward to automate certain steps and make the overall process more efficient. Without this system, the client may have experienced large losses due to slow production, errors, delays, and other factors that could have clogged the process.
